Ron & Niki's Wedding | Cayucos, CA
I visited the location of Ron and Niki's wedding location about two weeks prior to the wedding day. I was there at the exact time that their ceremony was supposed to take place and it was the most windy I had ever seen that area of the Central Coast. Those concerns were relieved the day of their wedding. It was perfect weather. Sunny, just a few clouds, little to no wind and mid 80's.
That set the stage for a simple and beautiful wedding ceremony that took place on a public beach area, below the deck of the home where the bride and groom would have their reception. The ceremony was finalized by a perfectly timed fly-over by two military helicopters. I somehow was able to capture Ron and Niki, the ocean and the choppers in the same frame! It is one of my favorite photos of the day.

Emily's High School Senior Portraits
Two days of photographing Emily's senior portraits led us to a rocky beach in Morro Bay, CA, a local park, a nearby city populated by 18 people, the topside and bottomside of a pier in Cayucos, the side of a stranger's house and a downtown alley in Kingsburg near Emily's high school. Both days provided us with gorgeous weather, beautiful locations, and some great lighting.
My goal with this shoot was to provide Emily with many portrait options that captured her youth, her attitude, her style and personality. We predetermined some locations and spotted some others on the fly over the two days of shooting. Emily was fantastic to shoot. She provided me the most consistant smiles and personality I've ever photographed, yet stayed relaxed and had fun the entire time.
Some of our favorite shots were in a small town named Harmony. With a population of 18, the main attraction seemed to be the glass blowing gallery at the end of the main street. It's at this shop that we found a beautifully aged Dodge work truck that provided some great colors, textures and posing possibilities. The remainder of the town was very weathered, but offered great textures, rich colors and interesting backgrounds.

JP Marketing Staff Photo - 2008
Green was the theme of our staff photo at the end of 2008. Beginning in January of 2008, we celebrated client birthdays by planting a tree in their name. We wanted to end the year by showing how even small efforts can make big differences in helping the community and the planet.
Each employee in the staff photo is engaged in a "green" act or using a "green" product. As part of our year-end gift to clients and vendors, we provided the canvas shopping bag shown in the photo, as an easy way to begin making a difference.
